Worship Committee

There isn't really a lot to say about how to run the worship committee. I will just detail the process I went through to get it to where it is now and that will allow you to run with it further.
History
-Istarted by picking a few songs from the blue books that the school owns and attempting to play the piano
-after a year of that, I acquired some music and began to realize that if I just played chords and sang really loud it worked better
-finally, I decided that getting worship teams to help me out would really help. I got volunteers and we rotated on a monthly basis. we met on Monday night and picked the music. We also practiced the songs at that time.
-this year I took it a step further and recruited people for the teams and set dates for each team on a weekly basis. It seemed to work pretty well.
-I usually picked six songs (three fast and three slow). This allows for about 20 minutes of music.
Pointers:
It goes faster at practice time if the leader of teach team has already picked the music.
Try to find committed people. Overscheduled people sometimes don't have the team very high on their priority list. I made a lot of unwise choices along the way, but I also made some good ones. There are people who will be dedicated and even if you don't have a ton of them, those are the ones you want to keep around.
Good luck and God Bless!!!
